Heighten your classic pastry by preparing a simple marinara sauce to go with it. To guide you along, we\u2019ve compiled 4 simple steps and tips to get you started!<\/p>\n

You will need:<\/p>\n

2 x Polar Chicken Sausage Roll
\n3 cans peeled whole tomatoes
\n1 tablespoon vegetable oil
\n2 large garlic cloves
\n1 teaspoon kosher salt
\n\u00bd teaspoon dried basil
\n\u00bd teaspoon dried oregano
\n1 teaspoon lemon juice<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/p>\n

– Place a large skillet on the stove over medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the oil and swirl it around to coat the base of the skillet evenly. Then, add the chopped garlic cloves and saut\u00e9 until just golden brown. Be sure not to over brown them!<\/p>\n

– Add in the peeled tomatoes, salt, oregano, basil to the skillet. Use a wooden spoon or ladle to break the tomatoes down into a pur\u00e9e. Bring the sauce to a boil over medium heat and stir until it has thickened to a dipping consistency. After which, remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. There\u2019s no right way to seasoned the sauce, so taste and adjust it with salt and lemon as needed!<\/p>\n

– Reheat your sausage rolls in the oven until they\u2019re warm on the inside and out.<\/p>\n

– Plate your sausage rolls and marinara sauce. You can either pour the sauce over your sausage rolls or have it as a dip. Enjoy!<\/p>\n
